What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of works, either art or writing, made by fans for other fans!What is the age requirement for this zine?

To Celestia is an unofficial Genshin Impact zine centered around Genshin Impact characters taking part in esports. Esports, otherwise known as electronic sports, is a form of competition where professional players, either in a team setting or individually, compete with each other in an organized video game competition.This zine aims to depict the cast of Genshin Impact in an alternate universe where they are esports players.Is this zine for-profit or charity?
To Celestia will be a for-profit zine!What content will be featured/is allowed in the zine?
This project is SFW, general zine. Ships will not be present in the zine.How many contributors will you be accepting?
We will be looking to accept 26-28 Page Artists, 2-4 Merch Artists, and 7-9 Writers.How will contributors be compensated?
All profit will go toward covering production first. We will guarantee a digital PDF and any digital merch to contributors. Should our profit allow it, we will first aim to provide a free compensation of the book & shipping to contributors, with the end goal of providing all contributors with a full bundle (inclusive of shipping). Any remaining funds after production will be split evenly between contributors and moderators.Contributor copies will be prioritized over mod copies.What are the zine specs?
To Celestia will be a 100 page, full color, perfect bound B5 zine in softcover.How do I apply?
Our contributor applications run from June 16th to July 16th. Our contributor application will be available on this carrd, as well as on all our social media accounts (linked at the bottom of page).How do I know I've been accepted?
Results will be emailed to applicants on July 26th, although this may be subject to change. Please follow us on social media for updates! If emails have been announced but you still haven't received an email yet, please make sure to check your spam folder, and reach out to us at [email protected] if it's not there.Can I post WIPs, stream, or sell my finished piece?
Throughout the creation phase, contributors will not allowed be to reveal anything for the zine, including your own WIPs, outside of the server. Further instructions will be given on when WIPs and previews can be shared to help promote the zine closer to the pre-order period.Contributors will be able to post, sell and distribute their work as they see fit after the hold period towards the end of the project.I don't see the answer to my question!

Applications
General Guidelines
The following guidelines apply to all applicants. Please ensure you have read through the entire info doc and have familiarized yourself with the guidelines before submitting an application.
All applicants must be at least 16 years old as of June 1, 2022 in order to apply for this zine.
All works submitted as part of your portfolio must be SFW. Any applications containing NSFW content will be disqualified immediately.
Please also refrain from including body horror, gore, or other content requiring trigger warnings in your portfolio.
At least one submitted sample must contain Genshin Impact content.
Portfolios must be submitted as a Google Drive/Dropbox folder or similar webpage that displays your works.
Please make sure to double-check in an incognito window that your portfolio link works. Applications containing missing or broken links will not be considered.
Social Media profiles and AO3 pages will not be accepted as valid portfolio submissions.
Ships presented in portfolio works will not factor into the judging process.
Applicants may apply for multiple roles, but can only be accepted for one.
Below are additional guidelines for each category. Please ensure you have read through the entire info doc before submitting an application.
Page Artists
Page Artists must submit links to three samples of what you believe is your best work. In addition to this, a portfolio of 6-12 works demonstrating the range of your skills will be required.
At least one sample must be a Genshin Impact work.
At least one of your three samples must contain a full background (not just solid color/gradients/graphic design).
Your linked samples may be included as part of the portfolio.
Works included in the portfolio must be complete (i.e. fully colored, no rough sketches or WIPs).
You will be judged based on anatomy, color, composition, and consistency.
Merch Artists
Merch Artists must submit links to 3 samples of what you believe are your best merch designs. In addition to this, a portfolio of 6-12 merch designs demonstrating the range of your skills will be required.
At least one sample must be a Genshin Impact work.
At least one sample must be a design for one of the merch types you have indicated interest for in the application form (i.e. if you selected “prints”, you should include a piece of print art).
Your linked samples may be included as part of the portfolio.
Works included in the portfolio must be complete (i.e. fully colored, no rough sketches or WIPs).
Photographs of produced merch that you have designed are welcome and appreciated.
You will be judged based on style, color, design, and consistency.
Writers
Both prose fics and magazine-style articles are welcome. Writers must submit links to 3 samples of what you believe are your best works. Additionally, a portfolio of at least 2 other works will be required.
All works must be independently created. Collaborations with other writers are not allowed.
Familiarity with the esports scene is greatly appreciated.
Prose fic samples should not exceed 2,000 words. One-shots are preferred, but excerpts are accepted.
At least one sample must be related to Genshin Impact.
Article samples should not exceed 2,000 words, and need not be related to Genshin Impact. Relevance to the theme is greatly appreciated.
You will be judged based on your mastery of English, ability to bring characters and scenes to life, and ability to capture your audience’s attention.
